Quick new user modal apparently no longer submits [v5.5]

.env - you have to duplicate it / rename it (since the example file is tracked in git).

ok that's what i thought. However if use the .env file in the same manner that I described over the phone:
Uncomment the following line to enable CAS authentication
export CAS_AUTH=1

Uncomment the following line to enable LDAP user lookup
export USE_LDAP=1
and I try to run "rails s" i get an error and the server doesn't spin up. The error massage is quite long but I'll copy the first line:
/home/alex/.rbenv/versions/2.1.2/lib/ruby/gems/2.1.0/gems/dotenv-2.0.2/lib/dotenv/parser.rb:58:in `parse_line': Line " export USE_LDAP=1" has an unset variable (Dotenv::FormatError)

Try deleting your existing file and starting from the committed example file. Is there a leading space on that line? Trailing space?

It had a leading space, the server is running now. I'll check the modal in an hour.

I'm looking at it now and both the cancel and the submit are unresponsive, I'll work on both.

The cancel button should have been fixed in #1376, it's working in production. Make sure you're working off the latest copy of release-v5.5 on GitHub!

I just checked again and for some reason even after fetching i didn't have the latest so now my branch is from another version.... I copied the code from your latest commit and saw that it is indeed working.
Is there a way to merge the latest version to my branch?
In the meantime I'm working on the submit button
