Request for checkout/checkin procedures rearranging

Currently, admins can only add a checkout/checkin procedure one at a time. If a step is overlooked, admins must copy/paste items or start over. Would it be possible to add some sort of drag/drop feature to this to make it easy to rearrange steps or add new ones to existing procedures?

To make this form dynamic (we can add additional fields ad-hoc) we use the gem cocoon:

I don't have an active subscription to RailsCasts or the ability to grant people access yet (I'll work on that), but this looks like a newer relevant RailsCast:

No matter what, we'll probably have to add an attribute to each checkin/checkout item that stores the "item order number" and extend that class to make this feature work.

If it's possible for us to contribute back to cocoon or dynamic_forms that would be best of course. Short of contributing to the gem, we should at least document clearly how we do this, and contribute that guide back to the relevant project.

Just added this to the 3.4.0 milestone. Seems straightforward enough.

We already use cocoon. Drag and drop would be non-trivial to implement; we'd have to add an 'order' column to the procedures tables as well as some solid js to enable drag/drop and order attribute setting.
