Cannot open zip files

When trying to open a zip file, I get the following error:

EXTFS virtual file system:
unzip: can't open "path to file"[.zip]

Dismissing this popup then opens an empty directory screen. I tried installing GnuWin32 Unzip to try and solve it, but to no avail.

Perl is required.

Did indeed not have Perl installed, so I installed Strawberry Perl. However, I am still getting the same error message.
