Does the size of a repo affect what we're billed?

I'm looking at migrating an on-premises repository to GitHub. However, this repo is about 14 GB in size and PDFs and image files are added to it daily. I'd like to know if such activity will increase what we're billed?

Hi @Rod-at-DOH,

Nice to have you back in the community! If the files you are putting in there are over 100 MB, then yes, you will need to use our large file storage to migrate that repo. In which case, depending on how much LFS storage you use, there may be an additional cost there. You get a certain amount of LFS storage for free with your "plan", so its hard to say how much additional cost there would be, if any, without the specifics of your plan and usage.

Thank you, Lili. So, it appears that, but itself, the size of a repo won't increase our billing. But the size of individual files, if they exceed 100 MB will invoke the use of LFS. I am not familiar enough with the TFS (TFVC) repo to know. I've looked at it, and there are hundreds, if not thousands of files involved. I'll have to discuss with the developers this information.
