With just a few simples changes it's possible to gzip the data files. This saves quite a bit (90%?) space. We're using XHProf for statistical profiling (ever 0.01% of requests get profiled). This helps keeps things from getting too big. Not sure you're interested, but I'd thought I'd send the pull.
