Control how early or late we prefer the skeleton to fork at bifurcations

Hi,

Is it possible to control (with a parameter) how early or late we want the skeleton to fork at a bifurcation point? There is the fix_branching flag, but having more control over this behavior would be nice.

This is an interesting idea, but it's kind of a big change to how the TESAR algorithm works. fix_branching is already my own tweaking of the base algorithm to make the branches look nicer. I'd need to think about this to figure out a way to control this that would be reasonable.
