Thanks for submitting this issue @AndrewCharlesHay! We've actually started working on the GitLab integration this week. As a result, there will probably be quite a few GitHub Issues we'll need to create.

Work on this is beginning. I'm doing the design stage now with plans to break ground next week. The first few pull requests will be focused on refactoring to support GitLab followed by backend support finally followed by UI support.
