Description
Rationale:
- Archive and/or compression of ADM BWF files or other object-oriented wav files
- Alternative to lossy and patented object-oriented file formats, such as (e)ac3/ac4 (Dolby Atmos) and mpeg-h 3d (Sony 360 reality audio).
Con:
- Rare use case.
- Kind of already supported by wavpack.
What needs to be implemented:
- Multi-channel support (over 8 channels)
- Object metadata
- Scene-based metadata (?)
- Matrix metadata to isolate objects if channel is still limited to 8
